Wrap Around Care
Woodside Junior School provides wrap-around care in "The Hideout Zone" for the pupils at the school, offering a safe, caring and friendly environment before and after school hours. The Hideout Zone provides quality care in a spacious and stimulating setting which is located in separate annex to the main school building. The club is run by Woodside School staff.
The club provides the children with a vast range of activities to enjoy and extend their school experiences. The first hour is “club hour” with a different structured activity every day currently including Quidditch, cooking, dance, arts and crafts and team sports. The children also have access to a variety to free choice activities including Lego, pool, table football, gaming (X-box and Wii), board games, colouring, Hama beads to name but a few!
The staff organise themed sessions around special celebrations and days, for example Pancake Day, Easter, end of term discos etc.
There is also a homework zone where the children can access computers and a printer.
The club is currently capped at 35 children per session and staffing is based on a ratio of 1:10 (minimum 1:15).
Pricing
The club runs Monday to Friday during term time.

If a child attends an after school club (e.g. First Touch Football, Taekwondo, Netball etc) it is possible to book a slot at Hideout Zone after the club finishes - from 4.15pm - 6pm.

Booking options
All parents/carers can make adhoc or regular bookings through MyChildAtSchool (MCAS). The system logins have been provided to all current parents/carers. Please contact the school office if you need to have your invite code re-sent / your password re-set.
Booking through MCAS allows parents and carers to have complete flexibility over their session bookings.
Breakfast club can be booked at any time via the MCAS app/website.
The booking portal closes for after school bookings 24hrs before the event. You can still book your child into the club but you will need to contact the school office to do this for you.
There are no additional charges for on the day bookings.
