Year 3

WELCOME TO YEAR 3!
 
Peake class are taught by Mrs Carver and Mrs McCarthy with support from Mrs Sambucci..
Sharman Class are taught by Mrs Bannister and Mrs Osborne with support from Mrs Winson.
 
Over the year ahead we will be looking forward to Forest School, to the British museum trip, to Stone Age Day, the Dance festival and many exciting learning opportunities. 
 
FOREST SCHOOL AND OUTDOOR LEARNING
 
Peake Class( Mondays) and Sharman Class (Fridays) attend Forest School run by Mr Gocher. it is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills, to be collaborative and to try new things! In the Autumn term we have used small saws, made swings and dens and learnt about nature.
Art and DT
 
Every Thursday, Year 3 look forward to their Art and DT lessons. Since September we have made a range of different items and have prepared different food items. The photos show some of our creations! We shared our honey biscuits with our families after our Harvest Assembly. 
CAPTURE THE FLAG SEPT  2017
 
All 60 Year 3 children enjoyed taking part in the Capture the Flag festival at Amersham school. We had 4 teams and were pleased particularly when team B were announced as winners of the Lower Field Tournament.
STONE AGE DAY!
 
We had an educational, fun and action packed day. It was great to see the amazing costumes and to participate in a range of activities which were; learning about how clothes were dyed, the Stone Age diet, the way arrowheads were made and how to make a fire. DANCE FESTIVAL SPRING 2018
 
We had fun at the Dance festival wearing our superb tie- dye t shirts. We also enjoyed seeing all our parents, friends and carers watching our dance at school. 
MAY 2018
We had a really exciting and informative trip to the Bucks Railway Museum. The sun was shining and the staff were most knowledgeable. The children learnt so much and were brilliantly behaved. The favourite activity for many was the ride on the miniature railway. A great trip!
VAN GOGH WORK MAY 2018
 
As part of our artist study in Year 3, we have learnt a lot about Vincent Van Gogh. Here we are enjoying some group finger painting
