School Fund
Our school fund is primarily made up of donations from parents for which we are extremely grateful. It funds those ‘extras’ that mean we can offer enrichment and enhancement to learning already provided through the national curriculum. In an ideal world we would receive all the funding for these activities from the government, however as per pupil funding continues to decrease, sadly this is not the case.
Whether to donate to our school fund and how much is very much your own choice however we would like to stress that donations of any size and at any time are greatly appreciated.
Should you wish to make a donation there are a number of ways to do this:
- by choosing to donate a sum of money each month by setting up a standing order. Please do so online using the school’s bank account information (please contact the school office for this information) and include your surname and initial as the reference. If you do set up a standing order please let us know by emailing finance@wsd.odbst.org in order that we can identify and account for your contribution easily.
- by making adhoc donations via My Child At School under Products > Click ALL and then you will see the “School Donation” tab at the top. You can then enter the amount you wish to donate.
- via scanning the QR code at the bottom of this page.
Examples of how we have spent this money in previous years include workshops, whole school curriculum theme days and library resources.
The advantage of donating to our school fund is that you can also boost your donation via Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer, and we can then claim back this tax - so for every £1 you give, we receive an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue!
Please contact the School Office if you would like to donate and we can speak to you further regarding this.
