Curriculum

The curriculum is the framework, which is the base  of everything we do in school. It combines everything that is planned and delivered in lessons - with other learning opportunities in school. Through the curriculum we develop children's knowledge, skills as well as understanding.  We, as a school, ensure that we have a coherent structure, and prepare our pupils for their lives beyond school.

At Woodside Junior School, pupils will experience a balanced academic curriculum as well as rich extra-curricular experiences, which together promote spiritual, moral, cultural, academic and physical development, thereby preparing our pupils for the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities of their next stage of education and, in the future, their adult lives. Enclosed policies lay the foundation for the whole curriculum, both formal and informal, and form the context in which all other policy documents should be read.
