The key skills, which are required in order for all children to succeed, are constantly assessed throughout the term; this enables teachers to adapt their planning and cater for the needs of every child.

An integral part of Woodside’s approach to learning in mathematics is providing frequent ‘using and applying’ opportunities and problem solving activities. These tasks enable children to apply their skills in mathematical communication and reasoning whilst giving purpose to their learning and relevance to their lives.
