Congratulations to the many children who took part in WOODSIDE SUMMER MUSIC CONCERT on Tuesday 25th June 2019.
We enjoyed a delightful evening listening to a variety of instruments, singing, and different musical styles.
Thank you for supporting the children and the school.  We are very grateful for the kind donations, which will be used to purchase a class set of ukuleles.
Please contact Miss Richer and Mrs Bowers if you have any queries regarding music at Woodside.

We were delighted to take part in this year's
Amersham and Chesham District Schools In-Concert Music Festival
on the evening of 2nd April, at Kings Church, Amersham.
The pupils from the Year 5 and 6 choir and a group of musicians joined other schools for this wonderful evening of music.  The church was packed for this popular event.
The children played and sang beautifully, and once again Mrs Bowers and I were filled with pride as we listened.
WELL DONE to all who took part, and thank you to everyone who came along to see them.

Amersham Community Carol Service - Thursday 13th December - 6:30pm
St Mary's Parish Church, Old Amersham
We were delighted to be invited to perform at this event to celebrate the festive season.
Thank you to all the children in the choir and to the parents for bringing them along. Miss Richer and Mrs Bowers felt proud to hear how the choir sang (and played) beautifully.
We hope that everyone who attended the service enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
Thank you to Mrs Bowers for choosing the musical pieces and for her piano accompaniment.
Woodside Autumn Music Concert
All the performances at our Autumn concert on Wednesday 3rd October were fabulous!
There is a selection of photographs on display in the school hall.
We look forward to many more opportunities for the children to display their musical talents.
Sing, Perform, Inspire for Year 6
On Friday 12th October, the Year 6 classes enjoyed a musical singing workshop led by professionals from the Chiltern Music Academy.  We were delighted to welcome visitors from other schools, who joined us for the workshop.
Music is a universal language. It links different cultures and allows each of you to understand and relate to others, express yourself and develop emotionally.
If you are interested in learning to play an instrument or would like to join the choir, please speak to Miss Richer (Year 5 teacher) or Mrs Bowers (Year 6 teacher).
If you are interested in Rocksteady lessons please contact Miss Richer who will be pleased to put you in touch with our Rocksteady music tutor.
We are very grateful for the support we have received from the PTA, who provided funding to purchase new instruments last year.
During this academic year we hope to enhance the music curriculum for the children by purchasing percussion instruments to replace some of the older instruments which are broken or worn out.
