The PTA is a great way to bring together parents, teachers and the local community to raise funds and to support the school. It is run by ordinary parents. Everyone can join and everyone is welcome. The more the merrier! Our Co-Chairs for 2021 are Lindsay and Tom Dixon (Years 3 & 5), Chloe Cripps (Years 3 & 5) and Karen Buffett (Year 5). Our Co-Treasurers are Laura Sawyer (Year 5) and Eugene Pereira (Year 5) and the PTA Secretary is Paula Pereira (Year 5)
HELPING WOODSIDE
The PTA, with your help, raises money to buy things for the kids that the school would like to buy but hasn’t got the means to do so. All money raised benefits your child right now whether it’s by buying new laptops (parents helped raise money for 10 new laptops in May 2018) or by paying for new playground equipment (parents helped raise money to pay for 2 brand new playground equipment in 2016). We do this through fundraising events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres, film nights and lots of family friendly events.
How Can You Help?
• help the committee organise events
• help run the children's events, school discos etc.
• set out and clear up at school events and fayres
• run a stall at the school fayres
• offer any contacts you may have for raffle prizes
Any help is always very, very appreciated!

PARENT TO PARENT COMMUNICATION
It's our aim to make the parent to parent communication at Woodside easier and in one communication hub (rather than having to check lots of platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, emails etc!). With that in mind, we have initiated a new, modern parent communication system for the whole school called classlist.com – it is free, safe, simple to use and you will have access to an online Classlist, enabling you to contact other parents easily and securely. Our parent community is more than an online address book; we also have discussion groups on everything from football practice to school trips to parking at the school. You can easily post questions ranging from missing homework to recommended babysitters. You can create and respond to invites for class events, social get-togethers and birthday parties. You can also pay online for PTA run events such as film nights and parties.
We recommend you download the app onto your mobile!
If you haven't already joined just go to classlist.com and enter "Woodside" into the search.
