Wrap Around Care
Woodside Junior School provides wrap-around care in "The Hideout Zone" for the pupils at the school, offering a safe, caring and friendly environment before and after school hours. The Hideout Zone provides quality care in a spacious and stimulating setting which is located in separate annex to the main school building. The club is run by Woodside School staff.
The club provides the children with a vast range of activities to enjoy and extend their school experiences. The first hour is “club hour” with a different structured activity every day currently including Quidditch, cooking, dance, arts and crafts and team sports. The children also have access to a variety to free choice activities including Lego, pool, table football, gaming (X-box and Wii), board games, colouring, Hama beads to name but a few!
The staff organise themed sessions around special celebrations and days, for example Pancake Day, Easter, end of term discos etc.
There is also a homework zone where the children can access computers and a printer.
The club is currently capped at 35 children per session and staffing is based on a ratio of 1:10 (minimum 1:15).
The club runs Monday to Friday during term time.

We understand that parents/carers needs for wrap around care vary. The school therefore offers the following options:
For parents/carers that need the same hours every week across the whole school year.
The school can add your bookings into the system for you. We calculate the total cost for the year and then spread the cost in 10 equal monthly payments from Sept – June.
Monthly Direct Debit/Childcare Vouchers (any additional sessions are then paid for separately through School Money)
For parents/carers that have ad hoc or changeable requirements.
You can log into the School Money app and book specific dates and times for the whole school year. Any bookings added to the system will need to be paid for at the time of booking.
|Through School Money/Childcare Vouchers|
For on the day requirements when you couldn’t book in advance.
The booking system closes at 8pm the previous evening. If you need your child to attend wrap around care, for Breakfast Club they can arrive at the session and they will be added on to the list. For after school care, you will need to call the Office who will make the booking for you and inform the class teacher of the revised plan.
There is a small additional charge for bookings made on the day/after the booking deadline.
|The Office will add the session on to School Money which will need to be paid for within 48 hours (either through School Money or via Childcare Vouchers)|

How to book using School Money
If you are using Childcare Vouchers, you can book (reserve) your slots in School Money and then transfer your voucher payment to the school. When the school receives the payments through the bank, they will be applied to your School Money bookings. If it's easier, you can transfer funds from your voucher provider in bulk and the school can apply them as credit to be used when you need them.
